This 5.4 acre site is situated on a dramatic promontory overlooking the San Ramon Valley and offers breathtaking views. The main house has approximately 12,000 sf of livable space along with a 400 sf cabana in the back yard. The design is inspired by Californian Vernacular architectural style with an undulating front facade and continuously changing rooflines. The house is spread in the North-South direction to attain appropriate light, spaciousness and cross ventilation for every room and takes advantage of the picturesque view towards the east. The spatial layering of forms and dramatically changing volumes are interjected with natural light, thus the observer gradually experiences continual surprises through multitude of effects infused in this house.
